Hiretech Actively Looking Local With Buy North-East
Since pledging its support to the Buy North-East campaign, which encourages businesses to buy local, Hiretech has been actively working to further utilise local based suppliers.
In support of the movement, Hiretech has changed from utilising a well-known national stationery supplier, opting instead for Langstane, which is headquartered in Aberdeen. Langstane has beaten previous supply prices and also offers same day delivery of orders.
Additionally, Hiretech has employed the services of the Aberdeen branch of Business World Travel to source flights, benefitting from prices more competitive than those available online as a result, whilst also supporting local business.
The Buy North-East campaign is led by Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce, Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Council – as well as Aberdeen Journals and Scottish Enterprise.
All firms need to do to join the movement is pledge support by putting Buy North-East on their next board agenda, then moving at least one contract or piece of business to a local supplier.
