Ashtead Technology acquires Hiretech

Andy Buchan, CEO at Hiretech Limited, attended a Royal reception at Windsor Castle on Tuesday 10 November to celebrate the success of Queen's Awards For Enterprise recipients.
Hiretech was awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise for International Trade in 2020 in recognition of its achievements globally in the energy industry.
The award was presented by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire, Sandy Manson, during a visit to the company’s premises at Fintray by Dyce at the end of 2020, however the full Royal reception was delayed due to Covid.
Finally able to take place in November 2021, the Royal reception at Windsor Castle was attended by The Prince of Wales, The Princess Royal, The Countess of Wessex, The Duke of Gloucester, The Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra, The Hon. Lady Ogilvy.
Andy Buchan, CEO, attended the reception on behalf of Hiretech, commenting, "It was an honour for Hiretech to be recognised on this special day alongside other recipients of this prestigious award. It gives me great satisfaction that our growing company from Fintray is being celebrated amongst the business elite of the UK."
This is the first Queen’s Award to be awarded to Hiretech, recognising its excellence in international trade and demonstration of significant achievements in establishing business in export markets around the world.
The company is one of 220 organisations nationally to be recognised with the respected accolade. The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious awards for UK businesses, recognising and celebrating business excellence across the UK.
Hiretech offers equipment rental and personnel supply to support hydraulics, well service, pipeline, chemical cleaning, decommissioning, subsea and renewable activities with a wide range of pumps, umbilical reels, air winches, subsea shears, grabs and ancillary equipment.
