Adam Matthew today received his Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance certificate from Hiretech Managing Director, Keith Mackie.
Adam completed his HND in Engineering and his Modern Apprenticeship in conjunction with North East Scotland College Fraserburgh.
Interested in figuring out the workings of cars and mechanical equipment from a young age, Adam was inspired to follow a path in engineering where he could carve a career learning and developing further in a field he enjoys.
Now specialising within the Hiretech Transmissions Department, Adam continues to enjoy the hands on aspect of the job, being able to apply his skills and learning constantly.
Adam comments, “I have always been interested in how things work. I really enjoy taking items to pieces, rebuilding them and get a great sense of achievement being able to get them working like new. I’m thoroughly enjoying my work within the Hiretech Transmissions Department, it has been a great experience and I’m learning a lot. I’m really looking forward to a great future and sincerely thank Hiretech for supporting me throughout my apprenticeship.”
Hiretech Managing Director, Keith Mackie, added, “At Hiretech we recognise that investment in grassroots talent is important in order to maintain and develop skills within the industry. Adam’s learning journey will very much continue as he gains experience across the many departments at Hiretech, from hands on engineering to project management. This varied approach is valuable to our apprentices as it offers exposure and learning in many areas and also develops multiple skillsets, standing them in good stead for progression within the company in the future.”
