Hiretech demonstrates experience in pumping capabilities

Hiretech Limited, a leading equipment rental company, has invested significantly to develop a range of diesel driven pumping units to meet increasingly demanding project requirements.

Recent fleet builds include a 420kW Well Service Pump weighing in at less than 9 tonnes, a Zone 1 Electric Well Service Unit and three High Flow Pipeline Cleaning / Flushing Units. The majority of Hiretech’s pumps are Atex Zone 2 certified for use in hazardous areas, with units ranging from 60kw to 850kw.  These pumping units can be applied to a range of workscopes including pipeline pigging and testing, water winning, well servicing, chemical cleaning, flushing, subsea excavation, fire pump duty and crude oil transfer.  Specialist personnel are also available for hire to assist with on site operations and to provide project support.

Hiretech has supported a number of recent global rental projects, including crude oil export pumping operations in the Caspian region, a condensate re-injection project in North Africa and pipeline flushing and cleaning workscopes in the UK.  Enhanced by a wider range of complementary rental equipment, including powered umbilical reels and downlines, Black Eagle hoses, mixing tanks, shaker systems, heated chemical tanks, filters and hydraulic power packs, Hiretech can provide rental solutions for a variety of onshore and offshore projects.

Hiretech appoints Sales Manager

We are delighted to welcome Colin Cruickshank to the growing team at Hiretech.  Colin brings over 28 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry, gained through varied operational, management and sales front end roles.

Hiretech, a leading equipment rental, sales, service and maintenance company offering pumping spreads, powered umbilical reels, hydraulic power packs and supporting equipment, has seen steady growth over the past five years with a number of new roles created within the team to help meet increasing industry demand.

Mr Cruickshank commented, “I’m delighted to join the Hiretech team and look forward to contributing to the ongoing growth and success the company has enjoyed over the past few years.  The tide is turning in the oil and gas industry and we will be implementing measures to ensure we are well placed to continue to meet an expected increase in demand over the coming months ahead.”

Rental firm makes further investment to meet increasing industry demand

Equipment rental specialist Hiretech Limited is investing over £1 million in additional equipment this year to meet industry demand.

The firm has seen a dramatic upturn in business since mid 2017 and is celebrating another record breaking month by taking delivery of a new Zone 2 Well Service Pump.  The unit, which was contracted to Prior Diesel in Great Yarmouth to package, will complement the existing rental fleet of pumping spreads, powered umbilical reels, hydraulic power packs and supporting equipment.

John Milne, Engineering Manager at Hiretech, comments, “There are some great opportunities in the market at the moment as the industry plays catch up for lower investment levels through the downturn.  Additions made to our rental fleet over the last three years are reaping rewards now, and we asked Prior Diesel to augment our own manufacturing capacity this year to help meet increasing demand.”

Hiretech has also recently entered the Offshore Personnel Supply market, offering personnel to operate the range of rental equipment it has available.  Six new jobs have been created at the company’s base at Fintray near Dyce, with another four jobs expected to be created before the year end.

Additional Self Deploying / Recovering Hose Reels added to Hiretech rental fleet

Hiretech has recently manufactured an additional three Self Deploying / Recovering Hose Reels for its rental fleet.  The reels are available with live centres and spooling gear and have the capacity to deploy and recover the hoses unaided.  One of the reels has a twin live centre fitted and is capable of deploying and recovering twin runs of 2” Black Eagle hoses.  The reels are air operated to ensure ease of certification and installation offshore and can deliver line pulls of 3.5 – 5 tonnes as required.  Recent applications include vessel based scale squeeze and platform based plugging and abandonment scopes.

Lightweight Zone 2 Well Service Pump added to Hiretech rental fleet

Hiretech has recently completed the build of a Lightweight Zone 2 Well Service Pump for applications where platform crane restrictions require a lift of less than 10 tonnes.  The 600 hp pump can be mobilised as two separate lifts each below 10 tonnes prior to connecting it back together offshore.  Where weight restrictions are less than 10 tonnes the units have been designed to shed additional weight through the removal of doors and cladding.
